The Bob O’Gorman Freedom Memorial Tournament is a USA Hockey sanctioned tournament is located in Huntsville, Alabama. It includes 14U through 8U house select and all-star teams and will take place on January 13 - 16, 2023. The tournament includes top-level competition, on-site vendors, tournament apparel, and live scoring and updates on mobile app. Explore the U.S. Space and Rocket Center, Huntsville Botanical Garden and dine on shrimp and grits in the Rocket City.

The Huntsville Ice Sports Center – also known as the Benton H. Wilcoxon Municipal Ice Complex includes two NHL-sized ice sheets as well as a Skate World pro shop and concession stands.

No, registration for this event is an application and is NOT a guarantee of acceptance. You will be contacted via email with confirmation of your acceptance to the tournament within two weeks.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION AND COVID-19 POLICY?

The no refund policy will be waived if this event is cancelled due to COVID-19 issues.

If teams drop out of the tournament due to COVID-19, a credit will be issued for a future World Hockey Event tournament. Click here for eligible tournaments.

WHEN DO GAMES BEGIN AND END?

All participating teams are asked to be prepared for an 8 a.m. start on the first day of the tournament. All championships games will conclude no later than 5 p.m. on the final day of the tournament. (All times local)
